Lesson 10: The Source of Knowledge

The relevant strategic knowledge (zhi) is knowledge of the ground or earth (di), that is, knowledge about what we can change. Technically, strategic knowledge, or zhi, has a narrower definition than the way we normally use the word “knowledge.” Heaven (tian) puts a limit on what we can know for certain.
